The Bullitt County Health Department (BCHD) has a long history of serving Bullitt County residents by promoting health, preventing disease, and protecting community well-being. BCHD is a nationally accredited public health agency that meets national standards for quality, leadership, accountability, and performance. Over time, the department has grown and adapted to meet changing public health needs while continuing to focus on prevention, education, access to care, and community partnerships.
BCHD provides a broad range of public health services for individuals, families, businesses, and the community. These include preventive health services, nutrition programs, immunizations, communicable disease prevention and response, environmental health protections, health education, emergency preparedness, harm reduction, and programs that support maternal, child, and family health.

The department also works closely with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, government agencies, and community partners to identify health needs and develop programs that improve quality of life throughout Bullitt County.
