Public Facilities Inspections
Bullitt County Health Department (BCHD) works with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to enforce State Public Health Laws and Regulations for many types of public facilities. BCHD conducts routine inspections in the following program areas to ensure compliance with state rules designed to protect the public’s health.
The Bullitt County Health Department permits hotel and motel facilities that are available to the public as a place where sleeping accommodations are provided. These facilities are inspected for sanitation and safety risks at a minimum of once a year. This does not include apartments, dormitories, hostels, single or multi-family homes, or vacation rental cabins.
